Dion Johnson & Christopher Pate

Christopher Pate

Using paint, graphite, and photography, Christopher Pate creates visual collages. His work depicts a range of nonobjective to realistic images which have been visually sewn together, displaying an optical investigation that is emotionally overwhelming, yet somehow calm. Pate is inspired by nature, the human condition, and how these two ideas influence one another. Christopher Pate received his B.A. from Pitzer College, from where he spring his art career.

Dion Johnson

Dion Johnson has founded his work through exploration of dynamic opposites. He is most interested in exansiveness and compression, darkness and light, and surface and depth. Johnson has a way of alluding to mechanisms which ilicit a sensation of kinetic resolution and evolving atmosphere. His images seem to move while, alas, they remain stagnant. Dion Johnson received his MDA from Claremont Graduate University in California and now lives and works from Los Angeles.
